You are the death of my words

these empty shells

drained of all color

pooled at my feet

And I am left to do nothing

but collapse,

encircle you,

and lean on your majesty.

Can my abandoned mind

my lame tongue

birth a new language

that befits you, my eternity?

They must

for you are the birth of me

and the rebirth of everything inside

that was ever worth saving at all.
